Carolyn returned to the Open Door Community Health Centers in 2009 after completing the FNP/PA program at UC Davis in Sacramento in June 2009. She worked at the Del Norte Community Health Center since 2000. While employed at the clinic she worked as a medical assistant, HIV case manager/Hepatitis C Educator, and laboratory assistant. Carolyn was born and raised in Crescent City and is another “home grown” medical provider.

Carolyn and her retired fire captain husband raised five children and are now enjoying their grandchildren. They have a barn full of horses and a bunch of dogs. Carolyn loves to compete with her horses in gymkhana and team penning. One of her favorite spare time activities is trail riding in the beautiful State and National Parks in Del Norte County.
