Lesley Manson, PSY
Dr. Lesley Manson is a licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing at Humboldt Open Door Community Health Center in Arcata, California. Currently, she provides consultative, individual, family, couples, and group therapy treatment. Further, she provides biofeedback and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) treatment. Dr. Manson frequently works with private and public schools, physicians, and community agencies providing diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric, behavioral, and trauma related concerns. She has worked in a variety of settings including nursing homes, hospitals, schools, community agencies, and general medical settings providing diagnosis and treatment services.
In the community she participates as a board member for the Arcata House, which provides a program of assistance which will support people experiencing homelessness while they build a more stable life and educating community members about housing issues and advocating on behalf of homeless people; board member for the Emma Center, which provides information, referrals, support and education on trauma and trauma-related conditions for women survivors of abuse and violence; member of the Humboldt Domestic Violence Death Review Team, and volunteers to provide psycho-educational lecture series within the community.
She obtained her doctorate and masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona. |
