Lynn Stacy, RD
Lynn Stacy is a Registered Dietitian with over 30 years experience working with clients in a wide variety of settings from clinical to research. In addition to her RD, she has a Masters Degree from UC Davis Medical School and a Doctorate in Public Health from Loma Linda University. She has completed two postdoctoral scholarships at UC Riverside, one in the Department of Statistics and another in the Department of Sociology. She has also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at USC with the National Cancer Institute. Before coming to the ODCHC in 2006, Lynn worked for 16 years in public health clinics in Southern California where she, “learned to speak Spanish” and deal with, “the effect of poverty on food choices.”

Lynn says, “It is a pleasure to work at all the Open Door clinics and be involved with such a caring, professional staff”. She also states that she loves her job, “because I get to be involved with a wide variety of clients and it is so rewarding to see people improve their health so dramatically just by lifestyle changes.” Her special professional interests are, “staying on the cutting edge of medical nutritional therapy, especially in the areas of Diabetes and auto-immune diseases like HIV/AIDS.”

When asked what she does in her spare time, she responds, “I like to go exploring on my bike, in my kayak, or on foot and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the North Coast.”
